Ojo Olorunleke, the captain of Enyimba, called the team’s loss against Al Ahly Benghazi of Libya “painful.”
The Nigerian champions were defeated 4-3 in the first leg of the preliminary round.
This weekend’s reverse match will feature the Aba giants versus the Libyans.
To advance to the next round, Enyimba must score twice without giving up.
Olorunleke is confident that they will succeed in front of their supporters.
“It’s a painful and disappointing result for us,” he told NAIJAPRESSNEWS.
“Hopefully we will finish up with a victory in the second leg in Aba.
“We believe in ourselves and we are confident of getting a good result.”
