Amotekun agents apprehend a serial burglar in Osun

Osun Amotekun Corps agents apprehended a young man, Akeem Afeez, for burglary and theft.
Afeez, 25, of Ede, Osun State, was apprehended at a company in Oogi town, Ayedaade local government area of the state.
The 25-year-old man from Ede, Osun State, was apprehended for stealing and burgling at a company in Oogi Town, Ayedaade Local Government Area, Osun State.
The Osun Amotekun Commander, Brigadier General Bashir Adewinmbi, confirmed the arrest in an Osogbo statement, saying the culprit was apprehended after a report was submitted at Irewole Area Command.
Adewinmbi further stated that the Amotekun operatives went into action and apprehended him on the scene.
“The suspect was arrested at Oogi where he burgled and stole from Afripower Company Nig. Ltd., Oogi Town in Ayedaade LG of Osun State.
“An earlier complaint had been lodged at the Irewole Area Command of Osun Amotekun on the nefarious activities of the suspect, and the operatives had been on the lookout.
“Upon getting a signal on this recent activity, the operatives swung into action and were able to apprehend the culprit.
“In the course of the interrogation, the suspect confessed to committing the act, saying it was not his first time of burgling and that he normally sells such items.
“The items found on him are an electric motor, a vibrator, 1 pumping machine, long-length cable wire, and 13 pieces of tap cap,” Adewinmbi said.
The suspect has been handed over to the Nigeria Police for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
