Gunmen assassinate a businesswoman in Kwara, and four suspects are apprehended

Unknown gunmen attacked and killed a businesswoman named Alabi Sikirat Titilope in Agbeku community, Agunji district, Ifelodun Local Government, Kwara State.
According to reliable sources, the gunmen also took her motorcycle.
The entrepreneur was reportedly attacked and murdered at midnight Sunday at her house in Agbeku, just after arriving on a business trip from Ilorin, the state capital.
Oba Abdulazeez Shola Agboola, the town’s traditional ruler, verified the occurrence on the phone to NAIJAPRESSNEWS on Monday and revealed that four suspects were currently in police custody in connection with the terrible development.
He lamented that the incident was the first of its type to be recorded in the history of the community.
Oba Abdulazeez said, “all members of the community in collaboration with the police have resolved to fish out masterminds of the dastardly act and bring them to justice.”
The population had been plunged into terror since the tragedy, according to the monarch, who added that no stone would be left unturned to ensure the people’s safety.
According to the story, unidentified gunmen brutally murdered the woman and took her motorcycle as well.
At the time of writing, the entire Agbeku village is in mourning and fear over the incident, while security agents are on the lookout for probable arrests of the perpetrators.
SP Okasanmi Ajayi, the state police command’s spokesman, confirmed the situation in a statement on Monday.
He said “on 03/09/2023, at about 08.30 am, one Alabi Sakirat (f) of Ile Idi-Ajagun, Agbeku via Igbaja town, reported at Igbaja police station on the same date that she went to her mother’s house, one Alabi Sikirat Titilope (53), and met her in her pool of blood, already slaughtered by the neck by unknown or known persons.
“Some suspects have already been arrested and helping the command in its investigation,” he added.
